Together with K Records, Mississippi Records and The Crystal Ballroom, Neo Boys presents a concert to benefit the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls. This will also be a celebration of the Neo Boys double CD/LP titled Sooner or Later, released on K Records and Mississippi Records concurrently and containing unreleased live material as well as studio outtakes.
Neo Boys were a Portland first wave all-girl "punk" band and played between 1978 and 1983. Neo Boys feel privileged to have been part of a movement that helped redefine what it meant to be a woman in rock, and thrilled that 35 years later so many continue to prove how valuable girls are to this genre. With this spirit, the benefit will showcase women who currently employ music as a format to create, express, and inspire on their own terms.
The concert will feature the talents of: Cold Beat (Hannah Lew formerly with Grass Widow), Newman/Schonberg/Reyna, The Ghost Ease, Toody Cole, The Vandies, Monica Nelson, Busy Scissors, Crimson Typhoon. Come support Rock and Roll Camp for Girls' efforts to help young girls value creativity, elevate self esteem through music, and foster collaboration with others.
