Over the weekend of April 24 and 25, check out this fun wine-related event...

Spring on 47 - A Weekend of Wine Tasting

On April 24 and 25, sip your way through an array of wineries and even a saké brewery along Highway 47 in the Northern Willamette Valley before making your way to the Grand Lodge for rest and relaxation.

Spring on 47 will welcome spring by offering a weekend packed full of wine and saké releases, food pairings, live music, discounts and more! Spend the day or the weekend exploring Sip47 , an alternate route that allows you to slow down and explore the road less-traveled. Weekend event festivities also include library and vertical flights, a pig roast, buffalo tasting and the perfect sangria.
Hours: Vary by location, but generally 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Tasting Fees: Vary by winery.

Go to SIP47.com  for a list of participating wineries and event details!

Oregon's wine country offers an unparalleled variety of landscape, crops, scenery and businesses, and nowhere is it more evident than along the stretch of Hwy 47, which ambles north-to-south from 99W to to Banks, through the historic towns of Carlton, Yamhill, Gaston and Forest Grove. A group of businesses along the route between Carlton and Forest Grove saw the benefit of bundling their assets and inviting visitors to explore.

  • Sip47 is more than a scenic, less-traveled path of discovery and adventure through wine country - it's a way of living. The approximately 35 businesses, primary family-owned, along the route are committed to artisanal time-honored methods and to sharing the experience with visitors.
  • Sip47 values the rich agricultural history of their community. The tasting room at David Hill Winery is housed in a restored 1883 farmhouse, Tyrus Evan Wines is situated in a charming former train depot and The Tasting Room set up its digs in their restored Main Street bank.
  • Sip47 values the land. Some of our wineries, including Elk Cove and Tualatin Estate Vineyard, boast some of Oregon's oldest planted vineyards. Many of the wineries are certified sustainable or organic, or farm entirely biodynamically, such as at Montinore.
  • Sip47 values its unique offerings. SakéOne boasts the only American-owned & operated saké brewery in the country. At Scott Paul Wines, guests can taste wines from small producers in Burgundy, France, alongside the winery's own Oregon Pinot Noir. Some of our wineries afford commanding views of the valley and others are housed in inviting spaces in town. Travelers can refresh at the Grand Lodge, with its restaurants, small bars and full-service Ruby's Spa and soaking pool.
