"Rhythm & Play"

Harper’s Playground brings you Rhythm and Play – a night of old school and new school Portland hip-hop with local artists Cool Nutz and Wynne, along with fierce poetry readings by Anis Mojani and beats by DJ Tony Tryst.

Cool Nutz with DJ Fatboy

Terrance Scott, better known by his stage name Cool Nutz, is an American rapper, radio personality, entrepreneur, tour manager and record label owner. He is the epitome of creativity and professionalism. He has been recognized by The Source, Spin, XXL, Murderdog, Showcase, XLR8R, and many more national and local publications.

Cool Nutz just dropped his first album of the new decade with Father Of Max. This album catches Cool Nutz in veteran stride and an all-star cast of appearances from Dame D.O.L.L.A (our own Damian Lillard), Bosko, Maniac Lok, Mikey Vegaz, Drae Steves, FliBoiMoe, Mic Capes, Rasheed Jamal, Arjay, April Cason, Rene' and DJ Fatboy.

Wynne grew up in Lake Oswego and could be one of this city's best rappers. She raised eyebrows when she came onto the scene a few years ago, and still might for those who have never heard her rhyme. But in the past three years, the MC has proved she's got the chops to rise to the top of Portland hip-hop, and even beyond it. Damian Lillard shouted her out recently on the Tidal podcast, Rap Radar.
