Fall is the season for our Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale. To celebrate the hop harvest in the Pacific Northwest, McMenamins brewers create this seasonal beer utilizing fresh (undried) hops straight from local hop fields.

McMenamins staffers headed to Oregon's Sodbuster Farms to collect this year's harvest of Cascade Hops on September 7th to make same-day deliveries to McMenamins Breweries all over Washington and Oregon, henceforth known as "The Running of the Brewers." Each batch of Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale is brewed within hours of the hops being picked off of the vine. This is a daunting task but one that the McMenamins Brewers feel is well worth the monumental coordination involved. The resulting beer will be an absolute "feast for the senses" that releases on tap September 23.

Note: Although growler/jar fills are fine, there are no keg or corny can sales available on Thundercone.
